Bank Robber Caught Because of Large Ass

A bank robber in Germany was identified after she returned to the branch she robbed and a bank customer recognized her very large behind. Sandra Meiser, 26, got away with a £12,000 robbery in Norf, western Germany, after threatening bank staff with a gun. One of the people who was there during the robbery found himself standing in line behind an ass he couldn't forget.

"He called the police and they arrested her and found her ski mask and hand gun in her jacket. He said he recognised her bottom straight away - he'd never forget something that big," said one bank worker. The lesson: Don't return to the scene of the crime if you have an ass that is unforgettable.

Man Cleared of Rape After 25 Years in Jail

In case you think there are few false convictions in this country here's this:
A 56-year-old man who spent 25 years behind bars for a rape he says he didn't commit walked out of court a free man Friday after a judge recommended his aggravated rape conviction be overturned.

Johnnie Earl Lindsey said he wrote six letters to a Dallas County court seeking post-conviction DNA testing that could prove his innocence. All six were ignored, he said...

He becomes the 20th man in Dallas County proven innocent by DNA testing since 2001, although one of those men will be retried by prosecutors. Those 20 cases are a national high for one county, according to the Innocence Project, a New York-based legal center specializing in wrongful conviction cases.

Is this just Dallas, or is Dallas just the one doing most of the re-assessment of evidence? Then there's the old saw about women never lying about rape. What other type of event in human existence does nobody ever lie about? I can't think of any. CV actually worked a rape crisis hotline for a while, until one night a call came in and I reported to find a woman who was claiming to have been gang raped. She was lying. It was so transparent she couldn't have fooled a five-year-old.

Burglar Found Sleeping in Child's Bed

One Montana couple might be considering door locks this week after waking up to find a stranger had come in during the night, gotten a snack, made a mess in the bathroom (whatever that means) and gone to bed in their two-year-old son's bed.

Tracey Mullins, 47, of Billings was snoring loudly when the woman found him. He has apparently been undergoing mental health treatment. Lock the doors, people. This guy may not intend to be a criminal, but could be dangerous nevertheless.

Burglar Attacks Men with Spice Rub and Sausage

Two men in Fresno were awakened Saturday night by a burglar who rubbed one of them with spices and then whacked the other with a sausage before fleeing with some personal items. Police later caught 22-year-old Antonio Vasquez hiding in a field wearing only boxers and a T-shirt. This one is just weird enough I could believe it was a sleep walking incident. I mean, half naked and rubbing people with spices?

Killer of 13 too Insane to be Executed

In the "you can't make this shit up" department, we have George Banks. Banks killed 13 people in 1983, including 5 of his own children. A Pennsylvania judge found yesterday, that George Banks is too mentally ill to be executed. At what point does someone do something heinous enough that his mental state is no longer the issue? I think Banks passed that point when he killed 13 people. Just saying. Some crimes are so horrendous that it really doesn't matter why the person did it. 13 people. Dead.

Anthony Case Gets Weird

The Casey/Caylee Anthony case just got weird. Okay, so it's been weird all along. But now it's weirder. Forensic computer experts recently discovered that someone had been using the computer that Casey Anthony used to search chloroform. You know: the stuff you soak a rag with and then hold over someone's nose causing that person to lose consciousness? It isn't used as an anesthetic any more. So to what purpose, we might be given to wonder, did Casey Anthony want chloroform? The only purpose would almost have to be criminal. Investigators wondered about the chloroform. It lead them back to Casey Anthony's car, where they found significant traces of chloroform.

The investigation into two-year-old Caylee Anthony's disappearance is now acknowledged to be a search for a body. Nobody's even pretending to think Caylee is still alive except for Cindy Anthony, who insists that Casey is "being railroaded." While I don't believe that Cindy Anthony participated in the crime, she is a complete idiot who will do Casey's bidding forever. An enabler who raised a psychopath and a criminal. Way to go, Cindy.

Now, the really odd part of this: you don't need chloroform to do anything to a little kid. The idea of using chloroform would be to subdue someone, and a two-year-old is easy to subdue anyway. That leaves a chilling question: who was her intended victim? Parents spring to mind. Why take just their credit cards and checks when you could have it all? Perhaps she was ready to graduate from small time crime to the big stuff.

Did Caylee get into the chloroform on accident? The reason that it's no longer used is that an overdose is easy to accomplish. Too easy.
